Malaysia's East Coast Railway is a flagship project under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Malaysia, with a total length of 665km, starting from Kota Bharu station on the border of Malaysia and Thailand in the north and ending at Kingston Station in Port Klang. The project is regarded as a "land bridge" connecting the east and west coasts of Malaysia. Upon completion, it will drive the economic development of the east coast region of Malaysia and greatly improve the local connectivity level.
